Forum: Chinese Economy
Date: 2010-03-06

I'm a current student at Tsinghua University's International MBA program and would like to share some information with you about our program. I volunteer with our Student Ambassador Program to answer questions prospective applicants may have about our MBA or doing MBA's in China.

There are a number of MBA's in China with a particular focus on the international community, including CEIBS in Shanghai, Peking University's Guanghua program and my own Tsinghua IMBA in Beijing. Doing an MBA in China is an excellent way to differentiate oneself in an increasingly competitive MBA market, and frankly speaking few things beat first-hand experience in China if you have interest in doing business with/in China.

Tsinghua is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious brand names you can have out here - just ask anybody in China! Our program's oriented towards providing international students with exposure to local Chinese students, and vice-versa. Of the 125 students in my class, over 45% are international from 16 different countries, excluding HK, Macao and Taiwan. Many of China's domestic rankings have consistently placed us as the #1 MBA in China, and we also have the largest number of formal exchanges (~87) of any MBA program in Asia.

If you have any questions about the Tsinghua IMBA or doing an MBA in China, please don't hesitate to contact one of our student ambassadors at: http://mba.sem.tsinghua.edu.cn/mba/tabi ... fault.aspx
We also have our next Class of 2012 application deadline coming up on 15-March, information for which is available here: http://mba.sem.tsinghua.edu.cn/mba/tabi ... fault.aspx

Thanks for reading!
The Tsinghua Student Ambassador Program

	Date: 2010-02-24

Hello alltogether,

in the context of my diploma thesis at the Department of Marketing, University of Wuerzburg I created an online consumer survey about natural cosmetics in China. With the aid of this survey cosmetics consumers’ attitudes towards natural cosmetics as well as the consumption and purchasing behavior of cosmetics consumers in China shall be investigated.
I would like to ask you for help!
In order to provide representative results, it is therefore very important that as many interviews as possible are carried out and are answered completely. The only requirement is that the participants have to live in China or Hong Kong.
That means:
1. All Chinese people who are living in Chinese bigger cities (especially Hong Kong!!!), and
2. Foreigners, who are living/working in Chinese bigger cities for more than 2 years, can participate in my survey. No matter if they are young or old, male or female. Everyone who fulfills these requirements are allowed and shall participate.

If you fulfill one of these two criteria, I would like to ask you to participate, too, and to forward my web link to all of your friends in China and ask them to participate as well.

You will find my survey here:
http://ww3.unipark.de/uc/naturkosmetik/

It takes approximately 10 minutes and is available until the 28th February 2010 at the latest. It is written in Chinese, English and German.

I wish you all the best and want to thank you for your help in advance!
Greetings from Wuerzburg,
Johanna Schestak

http://ww3.unipark.de/uc/naturkosmetik/

New rental apartment search site launched!

	Forum: Business Events in China
Date: 2010-02-22

There are hundreds of providers in the market already for listing an apartment that you wish to rent, or for searching for a new apartment. They tend to provide you with more features and information to help you in your apartment hunt, but at times they give you a feel like your search goes never ending!
http://www.rentalhomedeals.com/home.aspx is a cut above the competitors in terms of usability, design & functionality.
The website is currently available for beta testing, they say its for the first 1000 visitors, not sure if they have stopped registration, or might have actually launched the website by now
Here is what they provide on the beta version,
A neat and clutter free interface to search for apartments, this makes the website have a unique look n feel when comparing to the rest of the rental websites out there which welcomes a user into a crowded (rather polluted) atmosphere!
A cool feature to compare apartment features with other apartments in the neighborhood, that’s a feature we get to normally see on real estate websites; however it’s the first time i see it as a feature on a home for rent website.
I will need to return back in a week’s time and hopefully by then they would have the site launched for real use!
