Hello,

I'm staying temporary in Beijing for my study. I have day's off round Christmas, because I have a internship in a foreigner company.

I want to use those day's to see something from the country. I already went to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Xi'an, so now I want to see more from the country side.

Can somebody tell me where the best to go?

Why not go to Harbin? The city is famous for its ice sculpture festival. The sculptures are very big and show all kind of topics. From Beijing it’s only a 10 – 12 hour trip by train.
But bring a lot of warm cloths since the temperatures will reach down to 40° below zero.
