I work as a freelance interpreter/translator based in Fujian and Chongqing, China. I'm qualified for business negotiations, interpreting, translating documents, and as a tour guide. I know how to arrange your travel and accommodations. Currently I provide three kinds of services.

1. Business trips along the southeast coast of China, including Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangsu Province. I can help you to source the products you need, and provide you with an efficient itinerary before you arrive in China. This will make your trip much easier and more productive. I can help you find the right manufacturers, in specific industry regions such as: Shishi sports shoes, Jinjiang clothing, Taizhou molds, Dongguan electronics, Panyu jewels, Shenzhen laptops/pcs, etc. I will be the communications link between you and the factories. After you return home, I can inspect the goods or equipment before it is shipped to you by your supplier, confirming quality/quantity of your requirements, and taking photographs to send to you. If you don’t have time to come to China, but want Chinese products, even in small quantities, or personalized, such as books, garments, decorative objects or small wares, I will do my best to help fulfill your business needs.

2. Tour and culture trips in the southwest of China. I was born in Chongqing City and my hometown is Pujiang town, Sichuan Province, in the southwest of China. I lived there over twenty years and know the food, culture and local language very well. I can show you around to enjoy the most beautiful and memorable places in China, such as the Terra-Cotta Warriors, the Mogao Grottoes, The Potala Palace Leshan Giant Buddha, the Three Gorges area, Jiuzhai Valley and Dujiang Weir, and Wolong the home town of the giant panda, where the tragic earthquake happened. I will take you to the places you want to see, communicate with the people there, and even in the most rural place I can educate the local people to cook food to a Westerner’s liking. For example, to not use hot Sichuan peppers (unless you like very spicy food!), no inner parts of the animals, no bones, no MSG in the food, and even vegetarian or vegan food if you require it. (I have lived with Western people in China, and know what they like and dislike, and this knowledge will improve your trip immensely!).

3. Consultant for incorporating your business and establishing your Chinese office. I am very familiar with all the incorporation procedures (from feasibility reports to receipt of the final six basic certifications), leasing office space, contacting HR agents to hire employees, procuring internet services/equipment, purchasing furniture, and having the decorating and other services done properly (in China these things can be extremely difficult to have done to a foreigner’s standards/taste without the proper guidance from an expert!). I currently provide this service in Fujian Province and Chongqing (Southwestern China), other regions are possible, but require more time for preparation.

April-May 2008 Prepared the incorporation of a German Automation company,

March 2008 Sourced and prepared schedules for visiting Jewelry makers in Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces. I worked directly for an American wholesale jewelry distributor.

Jan 2008 Assisted client from the USA, and sourced LED light-bulb manufacturers in Fujian and Guangdong provinces.

Nov 2007 Worked for Taibei World Trade Center as an interpreter in the Hi-Tech Trade Fair in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

Oct 2007 Interpreted and assisted American client at the Canton fair.

Oct 2007 Accompanied client from Iran Solar power Company to Zhangzhou, Fujian, to negotiate with a local solar panel manufacturer.

Jul-Aug 2007 Accompanied client from Canada Radioscape Co. to visit many plastic molding companies in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces. This involved negotiation, interpreting, and explaining the concept of the project to engineers and managers.

Jun 2007 Assisted US clients from Calsolar Company, negotiated with many factories around Quanzhou City, Fujian Province for their solar product needs.

2003-2006 While attending University, I owned and operated a small business selling sports bicycles and providing quality after-sales service to the foreign English teachers (50+) at my school.
