I think the most popular would be the chinese pop music.

But other music styles are getting more and more popular nowadays.
Anything from Rock to Hip-Hop and even electronic music can be heard here.

im out of the pop culture and music here myself bc im from the us. but i just met my friend who lives here and he said JJ Lin and Jay Chou are really good and popular nowadays. They both won awards at the Beijing Pop Awards. "From various tightly-fought categories, JJ Lin Junjie walked away with the highest number of awards - five - and pop duo Yu Quan with four. Super girl champion Li Yuchun won three awards. And Zhang Liangying was awarded honours as best female singer." i still need to download their music to see whats its like
