I saw on television Chinese shadow theatre once and it made a huge impression on me. Now being in China I would really like to see it live but have no idea where to go. If there's someone who ever been to a place like that, I'd be grateful for the information.

there aren't many of these shadow puppet shows anymore. i guess it also matters where you are in China. not many here in Beijing and they are mostly for kids. here is one:

I've also heard that in Chengdu these shows are done on street stalls. sorry not much luck. maybe someone else may kno more.
